EMBARKATION
Nearer the time, you will have your table number which will make it easier when you board that you know where to go. Someone will be on hand to guide you to your table if required.

TRAVEL
Take the train to London then use the Underground (nearest tube station is London Bridge). If you want to drive, parking in London on a Sunday is free and you can park around the quay either on the roadside or one of the car parks (I can provide details if required).

CATERING
This year sandwiches, tea and coffee will be available for sale again on the bottom deck for those who want any. Also they have agreed that we can bring on board snacks, e.g. sweets and crisps (not sausage rolls, sandwiches and the like please). They need to be in sealed bags not loose. I would ask that we respect their wishes and not try to sneak on board a full lunch buffet as we line dancers are prone to do! They do not allow people to bring their own food on board and if we abuse this, then they will take this concession away. Same with the bar, so please do not bring any alcohol on board. I think this will work better and then you can have a meal before or after.

THE VESSEL
The line dancing will take place on the top deck where we will all be seated. You are free to roam around the boat as you wish. There are open decks at the front and rear of the top deck and if you want a nap, there are some comfy banquettes on the lower deck. For the best view of Tower Bridge as we depart the Pier, congregate at the rear of the boat, although the front is a good bet too, then leg it back to the other end to catch another view but please practice dance floor etiquette as you do so....

THE TRIP (not the one as you run from front to back........)
It's an enchanting river trip amidst the every-changing backdrop of London's famous sights whilst cruising on this beautiful large replica 19th Century paddle steamer. Sail east past the Tower of London and take in the sight as Tower Bridge is raised for the Dixie Queen to pass, momentarily bringing London's busy traffic to a halt. Cruise on past Canary Wharf and historic Greenwich, round the O2 peninsula and through the Thames Barrier, tides permitting.

There are numerous bars and restaurants around the area if you want to make a day of it and have breakfast, brunch or dinner or just a cocktail or 3! Visit the Sky Garden just behind the embarkation point (well ish) if you want to see some lovely views as well as have another cocktail or two… I believe you need to book this but it is free. Explore Tower Bridge, visit the Shard nearby or just stroll along the Embankment and chill. The Dickens Inn at the rear of St Katherine's Dock is a lovely place to have a drink or bar food or the full monty. Guess those of you who repeat the experience each year have found their own places to visit so please let me know then I can pass on the information.

Please contact me if you would like any further information.
